Effortless

Miguel's mother crochets.  You can't visit her without seeing a hook and thread in her hand.  And do you know what she makes?  The most adorable dresses for children and babies; vests; table coverings; doilies from the small to the extremely large; toilet tank covers; blankets.  And all this without a pattern.  I'm sure that she's done it so many times that it just comes second nature to her, but I am always amazed at how many different styles she can conjure with that hook of hers.  At the moment, I have two vests that I'm set to embellish a bit for the girls; and they can't wait to wear them to Abuela's house, give her a big hug and kiss and say "Thank you!"
