Morning Snow

We woke to the sound of the snow plow clearing a quarter inch of snow from the road.  "It's snowing!" Angie cheered as she ran to the window to peer out.  Over the next two hours the snow continued, big fat wet flakes, accumulating to about an inch of groundcover.  So at 10:30 we put on our snow clothes and went out to make snowballs and snowmen.  The snow was perfect packing snow and in no time we had a snowman.

But we could see the snow melting on the ground in our footprints and snow angels.  The temperature was rising fast.  I cleaned off the driveway quickly, so the sun could do its job well.  Now, it's a balmy 38 degrees and there's hardly any snow left on the ground, but we had fun while it lasted!
