Four Months

Have I mentioned that Maddie is now four months, no, make that four and a half months, old? We just had her four month checkup the other day and here are the stats: 15 lbs 13 oz; 26.25 inches; 43.5 inch (CORRECTION: CENTIMETER) head circumference. And we've started her on rice cereal and apple sauce. She seems to like the rice, not the apple sauce so much. Banana's are next on the list. Then maybe sweet potatoes. I love making baby food. There's something really cool about creating it yourself, not buying those expensive little jars. And it's so easy to do, I wonder why more people don't do it. After all, how long does it take to mash up a banana? Or to boild a few potatoes until they're soft? And apple sauce -- anyone who buys it in those little baby jars instead of in the large family sized jar three aisles down is a fool. When Angie was a baby, I invested in a wand blender and pureed all of her food with that. I've used it for many other purposes since and will use it again for Maddie. It's a small price indeed for cheaply made food.
