Soliciting Advice

We don't know what sex our baby is yet, but it just occurred to me that it could be a boy. And if it is, I'll need to make a decision about circumcision. Any thoughts on that from anyone with experience making that decision? From what I've briefly read in the last 20 minutes, there's no real benefit to it and, according to one side, it causes irreparable psychological damage.

We didn't, if that matters, as a matter of respect for the baby. If you want more of an explanation than that, feel free to call! :-)

On the flip side, we did. Mostly because Paul wanted to. Like father like son. No real advantages or disadvantages either way. And no, I do not believe it causes irreparable psychological damage.

I have a very hard time believing it causes irreparable psychological damage too.

Unless there's a compelling medical or religious (i.e. the baby is Jewish) reason, I think it's a decision best left to the child when they can decide for themselves.

I know for a fact it CAN cause significant nerve damage to that area.
