Still Pregnant

Though I haven't posted about it, my pregnancy is going well, all things considered. I now have more "good" days than "bad", and though I am continuously nauseated, it's not so bad. The baby moves around a lot, especially as I'm falling asleep or waking up. The other morning, it actually kicked me hard enough that I felt it on the outside too. The hand resting atop my belly jumped and I thought, wow, I'm really pregnant.

Ok, so that sounds a bit strange, being more than halfway through now, but when you spend most of your days trying to convince yourself that you feel good, you don't spend a lot of time thinking about the little life you're creating. It was a nice moment for me; it let me remember that there's a fantastic light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel.

I'm excited for Angie to be able to feel the baby move. A woman asked her the other day when her birthday is and Angie replied, "When the baby comes out." She's very excited about the baby and asks me daily how I am feeling and how the baby is doing. She often picks up my shirt to kiss the baby through my belly. I don't know if she really understands what it means that we'll have a new baby in the house, but she's so excited everytime she sees a baby when we're out that I think she'll adjust well.

Life is good.
