Still Alive

We thought for sure they were dead. The buds, though large, were sticky and dry, with insects trapped in the clear goo. The leaves, formerly green and plentiful, had become brittle, brown and scarce in the cold snap that came through. But late last week, we discovered this:

My rhododendrons are now in full bloom and looking beautiful! Thank goodness they're alive!
