Library

I had to go to the MSU library today to pick up some math history books for some research. I explained to Angie that we were going to go to the library and that it was a big building with lots of books in it. As we progressed through our 15 minute journey to the campus, Angie excitedly repeated, "I don' see da yibrary, Mama."

Laughing, I returned, "We're not there yet, peanut." When we finally arrived on campus, we first had to stop in the Math and Science building so that I could submit a grade change form.

"Is dis da yibrary, Mama?" Angie asked, disappointed when I said no. Finally, we reached the library and rolled inside. Upon seeing all of the books, Angie gave her signature, "Ohhhhhhh,", followed by, "dat's a yot of books, Mama."

So, after picking out 8 books for me, I procured two for Angie, which she clutched to her chest as we rolled up the checkout. If it had been a children's library, I would have let her look at the books and pick two out for herself, but a University library is no place for a two year old to be plucking books off shelves. All in all, Angie's first official library experience was a success!

Isn't it sweet? We try to go once a week, but sometimes we miss one, and we all feel it.
