Big Ugly Bug

It was sitting on top of Angie's slide and, big as it was, I almost didn't notice it until it was too late. I ran to get my camera, but, alas, my camera does not do such a good job of getting closeups. So I looked it up. I suspected that it was a cicada of some kind, and I was right. About 1 inch in diameter, with inch-and-a-half-long wings, this was a round ball of ugliness wiht two large eyes popping out of the front.
