Hopeless

I'm starting to gain too much weight. I know why; being home allows me ample opportunities to snack, as the kitchen (and all of its goodies) is so conveniently located. A working person can only eat what they bring with them or what they go out and purchase. I always ate healthy food while working, and didn't often go out to buy anything. On top of that, I don't exercise any more. I've tried to get into the swing of it, but I just can't. I'm one of those people who requires the energy and motivation of others to be motivated myself. I need a classroom situation to excel. . .or at least to accomplish anything. (That's why I went to grad school to learn about computers. . .I wouldn't learn it on my own time.)

So how is everyone else doing with their regimen? Jennie was exercising, I know; Jessie and Paul were South Beaching. Mommy was too. I was, then I wasn't, then I was, then I wasn't, then I lied to myself and said I was going to but didn't. I just can't seem to get motivated to do it. I'm starting to get depressed about the extra belly fat that hangs over my jeans if I don't suck it in. Angie tries to suck on my belly button sometimes, mistaking it for my nipple I guess. If that's not a sign I don't know what is.

::Sigh:: I'll see if I can work up the motivation.

I'm not exercising right now myself. I'm trying to get into the habit of a morning walk with the children. The older ones bike and Rosie rides in the wagon, so I can move along as fast as I want, but I, too, lack motivation. This, of course, is a character flaw, the inability to self-motivate.

I don't thing Angie is mistaking your big belly for another breast! More likely, she is trying to love you by giving you a razzberry. After all, its big fun when you do it to her, right?

Love...

Paul and I continue to follow the South Beach diet, being sure to only have food in the house that is allowed. When we go out, we choose items on the menu that we can have, as well. We are not the only ones reaping the rewards...the children are eating very healthy, as well. Paul has lost around 25 pounds, and I about 16. We are currently maintaining, and will rev our diets back up when the weather turns consistently nice again. Exercise helps immensly (did I spell that right, asks the spelling police?). I whole-heartedly suggest this "diet" to everyone!

Love to you all!
