Well, it's that time of year again. We're back to school around here. In fact, we started Tuesday with a light schedule and I'm working through some kinks in my plan, most notably the fact that my kids perfer much more hands on activity than I've been granting them. But I'm working on that :).
I dyed my hair a couple of weeks ago. Actully, my niece-in-law dyed my hair for me as I've never done it before and she does hers all the time. I never minded my gray hairs while I was still young enough for it to be novel. Now that I'm getting a bit older and nearing my fourth decade of life, I wasn't so fond of seeing those grays in the mirror. Now I don't have to, because they're brown as can be!
About a week ago, Mommy boasted to me that she'd backed up her entire computer on her terrabyte external hard drive. The next morning, my own desktop crashed. Thanks Mommy. I've been trying to reinstall Windows Vista ever since. But, having no success, I'm reverting to a copy of XP that I happen to still have lying aroun from ::gasp:: ten years ago. It took me hours and a new flash drive to get all of my files off the computer before I reformatted it and tried to reinstall Vista. I don't know what kind of a reformat it was doing, because I was still getting the same "corrupt registry" error that I'd been getting before I attempted to reinstall. Computers drive me crazy.
We've borrowed a tent from my brother-in-law and are planning a campout for this weekend. Looks like Friday is the best night for it, because Saturday promises plenty of over-night thunderstorms. I'm not so sure the kids will survive a night of bug-choruses as it is. But we are very eager to use our new flashlights.
I love our firepit. We're going to need more wood. Fortunately, we helped chop down a tree a couple of years ago, and the wood is patiently waiting for us in my parents' bottom yard. Plus, they have plenty of kindling lying around in the woods.

I hate computers, too. :-) But backyard camping is fun! The kids slept out a lot in the early summer, then we had a few nights of severe weather, so we took the tents down, and they never got put back up. Strange how that works.
Oh, well. I hope you all have a good time!
