You may have heard me mention that I have no camera with which to take pictures and share life with you. The first camera died by way of toddler, the second by way of absent-minded husband. But after a student of mine passed the high-stakes standardized test we'd been prepping for, I recieved a gift card to Amazon.com and with a few extra dollars, I was able to purchase a new camera. It's a Cannon, as I love Cannon cameras, and it's a breeze to work with.
So now, you will be innundated with photos of anything I deem worthy. And since my standarts for worthiness are not nearly as high as they ought to be, I suspect you'll be shaking your head alot.
And now, for a few photos:
Here we have my garden. You will note that the only red thing in the garden (despite the very many tall and bushy tomato plants over on the far side) is an errant celosia plant (we used to call them castles) that decided to sprout just at the outer edge of the garden. It has been growing larger and larger with no help from me or the canteloupe plants that are trying to strangle it.
Now, this photo was taken after the hurricane, so the garden is no longer as neat as it once was. But at least I've been able to pull the few weeds that managed to grow taller than the tomatos!
My one and only ripening tomato. But oh, there are hundreds of green ones! I only hope the good weather lasts long enough for them to ripen.
Our other produce. A few tiny green peppers and quite a few very large canteloupes. I'm not sure how to tell when to pick a canteloupe. Miguel and the girls plucked this one while I was away at work this evening. I suppose we'll cut it open tomorrow and see if it's edible.
My two home-grown beauties. Angie decided to pose for me, and you should see some of the other shots!

Such pretty girls, getting too big too fast. Tell them to stop growing, please!
