I went into the storage room looking for some fabric for a quick project and I stumbled across some cross stitches that I had begun ages ago. So I pulled one out, set up the frame and began stitching one night. It felt good, working on a project so long forgotten. So instead of sitting and reading while the children fell asleep each night, I spent the time stitching. And now, fifteen years after I began it, I've finished my Sunset Cowboy silhouette. It wants only a frame and some matting and a suitable place to hang.
I've also finished up a project forty years in the works -- the very green Bambi latch-hook rug that Mommy began before my eldest sister was born. Though neither of us has any room to display it, I love seeing the finished piece, despite its very green background.
Next up, Megan's baby quilt, though I think perhaps the recipient has outgrown it. Perhaps I can finish it before the new school year starts!

Actually, Megan was just asking the other night, "Do you think Aunt Beckie will ever finish my baby quilt?" Honest! And the older girls still use theirs all the time as lap quilts, or snuggling up to watch a movie quilts, or impromptu tea party quilts...
:-)
Well, I'll get right on it. I feel badly because I showed it to her when you all were here those 3 years ago and then nver got around to finishing it. But it will get done this time!
