Two full weeks of illness here. Last week it was Angie with rotavirus and a 3 day stint in the hospital for rehydration and potassium. That rotavirus is a scary one, let me tell you. You wonder how you can keep your little one hydrated with the amount of fluid coming out of both ends. Obviously we couldn't, so we ended up in the hospital.
This week, it's Maddie with a fever that won't quit. It started quite suddenly on Thursday morning and though it responds to Tylenol and Motrin, it hasn't abated until this morning. It's accompanied by chills and last night Maddie shivered so violently that I was nearly in tears holding her hot little body. But this morning is better.

Oh, Beckie. I'm so sorry. I don't know of anything that makes a woman feel more helpless than watching her children suffer and not being able to do a darn thing about it. :-( Lots of love.
Thanks Jennie. It is hard, but it helps when you know that it's not life threatening. The ER was the hardest because they wouldn't let her drink anything and she just kept sobbing, "I want to be home and drink gatorade, mommy."
Glad everyone is finally feeling better. That must have been really scary for you all! Love and hugs!
