A Good Read
We started Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Sunday night and Angie's been begging for more. We're already six or seven chapters in and she's absolutely enthralled. I had forgotten how good this book is. We tried James and the Giant Peach, but it was a no-go for us. This one is much much better.

We haven't read that one in a few years now, but it's a really good one! I forget to re-read these gems for the benefit of the little ones who missed it on the first go round. :-)
I just finished rereading the whole thing myself (ahead of the read-aloud) and we'll definitely pull it out periodically for reading. Even the descriptive parts are exciting!
We've loved Charlottes Web; The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe; Little House On The Prarie; Mary Poppins (Yep! It's a whole book series!); and I can't think of what else off the top of my head... There are a ton of great reads out there. We'll have to add Charlie to the line up ;)
