I started growing my hair when my husband proposed to me. I wanted to be a long haired bride with an updo and curly tendrils framing my face. It was a little over a year from proposal to marriage and I was indeed a long-haired bride with an updo and curly tendrils framing my face. We were married in April of 2004, so that means my hair's been growing since late 2003. I did cut it fairly short on a couple of occasions, but not back to the spiky do I had pre-wedding. And finally, after 7 years of long or longish hair, I've chopped it all off again. I'm not back to spikes, but it is pretty short and I can do a mesy kind of a style that takes little or no effort to look good.
I can't say that it looks too much different than my long hair, because I always had my hair pulled back in a pony tail or similar style. But this is a nice change and now Maddie can't pull it out of the pony tail all the time. And now for some gratuitous photos of kids.

Love your hair belongs here. Sorry.
What does a really long phone ring sound like? barrhing. That was my word verification. Thought it was funny!
Lots of shorties here. :-) I liked your hair longish. I thought you looked very pretty. BUT, I think you look pretty good with the short hair, too. Whatever makes you feel most like...you. Right? ;-)
It looks very nice Beckie. I always liked short hair but it was the spikes that I was not overly fond of.
You are beautiful no matter the length of your hair. Beautiful inside and out.
By the way my word verification did not come up so I typed in there aren't any letters and they gave me a new word nabliz - it is a neat sounding word - what can we make it mean.
Love you
Mommy
