Every cloud has a silver lining, they say. I'm a personal believer in optimism. . . if you can't find the silver lining, you're just looking at the cloud from the wrong direction!

Autumn So Soon?
Already the nights have cooled into the fifties, the morning air is crisp and almost worthy of a light jacket. We dress in pants and then find ourselves hot in the afternoon sun. Though I can't smell it yet, autumn is just around the bend. It seems as if we had very little "summer" this year, what with spring lasting so long into the summer months and fall tripping in a bit early. But, as my blog title says, every cloud has a silver lining. Our PSEG bill has been at $125 for the last three months -- a boon when I think of the winter months to come and the $300 - $400 bills in store for us.

wow...those are really high bills. We pay $140 when the air or heat is on in winter and summer. In the cooler spring and fall months, our bill is usually between $60 and $80.
