A DIY Kitchen Update

Remember when I complained about my kitchen a while back? After much bandying about of ideas and expenses, we've decided to do a relatively inexpensive update. Firstly, that brown linoleum on the floor is gone, replaced by white/gray ceramic tiles. The cabinets are in the process of being painted and looking oh-so-nice. It turns out that the hardware just needed a good cleaning and it looks better than new. Up next, a new countertop, sink, backsplash and wall color. A pot rack to hand the pots from and a set of sliding wire drawers in the lower cabinet and we're good to go. Total project cost: under $1000.
