Don't you find mopping the floor to be just wasteful? First you fill a bucket with water and cleaner to mop with. Then you empty it and fill it again with water to rinse with. Then you have to rinse out your mop.... Just too much water. I tried to convince Miguel that this is the reason I don't mop the floors frequently, but he won't buy it. He thinks I'm just lazy!

I found the best mop in the world. Super easy, no waste, and no excuse for not mopping! I got mine at Lowes, and it looks like a swiffer, except it has removable and washable terry heads. I just wet one with hot water, fit it onto the head, spray a little Simple Green onto the floor (or pour out a teaspoon of ammonia) and mop up. When I'm done, I toss the mop head into the wash with the regular laundry, and voila! All done! It's a beautiful, beautiful thing. :-)
Oh! It takes me three terry heads to mop the whole kitchen. Your kitchen is tiny, though, so one would do, and maybe a spare for hitting the bathroom. :-)
I use a steam mop. It does use electricity, but the job goes fast. You put just 8 oz of water in it, it heats it up to steaming and, with a washable cloth fitted to the bottom, you mop as usual. No cleaners, no wasted bucket of water etc. It really works beautifully. One side of the washable cloth does my kitchen and then I flip it to do my very itsy bitsy bathroom. (That only takes three passes! lol)
