
Can you see him? Zoom in on the picture. That's a flock of turkeys -- and not even the entire flock; several of them are out of the picture -- and that's the male right in the middle. He'd puffed out his feathers and spread his tail feathers in proud protection as I pulled into the driveway yesterday afternoon. Some kind soul had sprinkled rice on the street for them and boy did they feast. It was a lovely sight to see!

Wow! They are brave! I used to see turkeys in my yard when I lived in country.
We live on a circle, and the only people who come to the neighborhood are people who live here, so there's not a lot of traffic. They live on the mountain behind us and come down daily to peck and scratch in the yards. I love to see them and even more to hear them!
That's the turkeys that live on the mountain behind us...
