Though people try to give gifts that they believe the recipient will use or like, sometimes, it just doesn't work out that way. My sister-in-law gave me a countertop electric griddle, because she noticed that I use "so many" (read as "two") cast iron griddles when making breakfast and thought this would be a good solution because it has a place for cooking pancakes and for cooking meats. But I really don't see the usefulness, and I doubt I'll ever actually use it.
But I didn't tell her that. When I opened it, I said, "Oh, cool. Thank you." She has since asked if I've used it and I had to say no. And knowing her, she'll keep asking. So, how do I break the news to her? Or do I just quitly regift it?

Cook something on it, tell her it's great, put away for a while, till she stops asking, then give it away. :-)
Not that I have any experience or anything. And of course, the kids and I are LOVING the tea set. Yup. Used it twice now. In addition to tea, they make nice little BEAN dishes. :-)
