We've signed up for story time at the library, a Thursday morning event that we've attended twice now. Last week, Angie was very timid and sat in my lap the whole time, barely participating in the songs and games, and unwilling to watch the stories. This week, she sat on her own mat the whole time and even got up to participate in a felt-board story -- she got to put the yellow blanket on the board. She even went, at my urging, and told Miss Faith (the leader) "thank you" at the end. I couldn't believe how big a change there was. I expect she'll start participating in the songs soon, but she's unfamiliar with most of them right now.
Afterwards, we went to the playground where Angie introduced herself to another little girl who was entering the playground at the same time as us. They played together happily for most of the hour we were there. I was so impressed, because this is the first time that Angie actually introduced herself and talked to another child. Usually she just insinuates herself in other children's play without ever asking or introducing herself.
It was a pretty good day.

How nice! How are you feeling today?
Actually, today is one of my worse days...the only reason it was a good day was because of Angie's experiences. Just when I think I'm doing alright, eating often enough to stave off the nausea but not eating too much at one time, everything goes down the toilet...literally. I can't seem to figure out a good eating regimen...nothing really seems to help.
I'm sure you have tried everything by now, but just in case. :-)
Eat before you are sick, before you are even slightly queasy, if possible. Small meals, more like snacks. Protein rich. No soda. Salty okay, good even.
I haven't tried this personally. I found Dr. Brewer after my morning sickness was gone, but it did eliminate EVERY other pregnancy symptom I had. So try this for me, please? Be my guinea pig and test it, okay?
I love you, Beckie.
Hmm. The link didn't come through. :-)
