I was busily cooking dinner, while Angie busily removed all 24 bottles of water from the heavy plastic wrapper that contained them, counting each one as she went, though she tends to skip numbers after 14 and repeat some once she hits 19. I listened on contentedly, happy to hear my daughter engaged in such educational play. And then, I got a glimpse of myself through my pint-sized toddler.
"Now can you put them back where you got them from?" she asked sweetly.
"Ok," she responded just as sweetly and began trying to fit the bottles back in the wrapper.
Surprised and laughing, I turned to her and asked, "Do I say that to you a lot, sweetie?"
"Yup."
