Spoiled

My cable company has an On Demand feature that allows me to watch some of my favorite shows anytime I want, commercial free! And for those shows that aren't On Demand, our receiver comes with a built in DVR, allowing me to record a series with a single setup, so that I can watch the episodes anytime and fast forward through the commercials. Being the night-working woman that I am, I am seldom home for my favorite shows, and so I started watching them this way shortly after we got our new service. What a great way to watch! Now, I'm so spoiled that I hate the slowness of regular TV...waiting for those darned commercials to end. I know the directors do their best to end each segment on a suspenseful note so that you're willing to sit through those commercials, but the suspense music is wasted on me as I blithely head into the next segment with barely a pause. I love technology!
