Wrong Move

I think I made a bad move. I didn't really have much choice (I don't think), but Angie is a quick learner. Four or five nights ago she woke up at 1 AM screaming and carrying on. I picked her up to soothe her, rocked her, brought her into bed with me, sang to her, changed her semi-wet diaper. . .in other words, I used every trick in the book, but nothing helped. Then I heard it over her whimpers; her stomach was growling. I quickly went downstairs to fill a cup of milk while Miguel comforted her. After ravenously devouring the milk, she fell contentedly back to sleep.

Unfortunately, she remembered the incident and is now waking 2 times a night for some milk, half a cup each time. She's not really hungry, she just likes how it feels to be in mommy's arms and drinking milk. That sleeping through the night thing was short lived.

For reasons unbeknownst to me, Rosie has been waking two or three times a night herself, for about a week. Very annoying. I've noticed the kids tend to act up at the same time. Maybe it's some sixth baby sense!

Pretty impressive. Is there some way we can get them to tell each other to calm down? We need a "baby whisperer"!
