Missing Appetite

Angie seems to have misplaced her appetite. For the past three and a half days, her total food intake has amounted to about one good sized meal. She'll eat a bit of yogurt, strawberries or icecream, but nothing of any real substance. She ate cheese yesterday but completely ignored it today. Broccoli, her alltime favorite, does nothing to stir her.

The doctor says that as long as she's drinking, I shouldn't worry, she'll get her appetite back soon enough. But I can't help but worry. I hope she's back to normal soon.

It's okay. Just like you, she isn't very hungry when she's sick. As long as her skin is elastic and her tongue is wet, she's good to go. (Pinch her arm to test for dehydration. Not hard! Just squeeze the skin. If it stays pinched when you let go, she's in desperate need of fluids. If it snaps back, she's fine.) And you know what? Ice cream makes me feel better, too.

I agree with Jennie. Think about how you feel when you are sick. If you are like me, then you are not very hungry. Angie will get her appetite back soon enough. Don't worry!

Hope she is feeling better soon!
