Like Mother Like Daughter

I picked out my clothes this morning, orange shirt with blue jeans, and Angie's, pink dress with floral undies, with calculated deliberation. I tend to dress us in the same colors, you see, earning chuckles and jokes from relatives and friends. But when I opened the door, I realized that it wasn't quite sundress weather, and headed back upstairs with Angie to return the dress to the closet and choose warmer clothes. This time, it was a onesie with matching capri pants. It wasn't until I was holding her on our way out the door for a walk that I noticed she was wearing a shade of peach that perfectly complemented my orange shirt. ::sigh::

I guess you're talking about "complemented" which could be "complimented". If I thought her peach clothes were saying "nice shirt", then I would have used "compliment", but since they simply went well together, I used "complement" (as in "complementary angles" in math that add up to 90 degrees). But thanks for the notice.
