Every cloud has a silver lining, they say. I'm a personal believer in optimism. . . if you can't find the silver lining, you're just looking at the cloud from the wrong direction!

My Ovarian Cyst
It turns out that my Cyst has increased in size slightly, indicating that it will not go away on its own. Therefore, I'm off to surgery. . . well, not immediately. My doctor says they will perform a laproscopic procedure where they insert a "telescope" through my belly button and a "vacuum" through an incision at my pubic line and suck out the cyst. She says the cyst is not dangerous in any way, and is not cancerous, but since it will not go away on its own, I run the risk of bursting it if I don't have it removed. Once they remove it, they will test it to see what kind of a cyst it is. One kind can recur and the other kind doesn't. So, I'm scheduling my procedure for May, when college is over and I don't have to worry about recovery, even though she says I can drive after 24 hours and will be completely, 100% better in 2 weeks.

Sorry to hear this news.
Love to you.
Strangely, I"m not in the least bit worried about it. I know it's not truly dangerous, and the surgery will be a minor inconvenience. I'm ever the optimist.
