I didn't register the sound as my alarm clock. I heard the buzzing, but my brain, unaccustomed to waking to such a sound, ignored it as background noise or possibly dream residue. Miguel tapped me and pointed at my cell phone, lying on the dresser beside me. Huh? my foggy brain asks as I look towards it, noting the flashing lights, and the slight movement as it vibrates. Oh, yeah, I was going to get up at 6:00 today. I flip the phone open and press the ok button. Fine, I'll get up, right after I have another few minutes. Fortunately, Angie chose that moment to lose her binky and require assistance. I might as well stay out of bed, then.
I've been up since then, and Angie woke happily just 15 minutes ago and has been playing quietly in her crib. I don't mind. Normally, I'd be pulling her into bed with me with my arm around her so she can't wiggle around, trying to catch just another half-hour of sleep. But this morning, I don't mind that she's up at 7:15. We'll adjust our napping schedule if need be. Although, this won't be a normal day anyway, so it will all work out in the end.
All in all, I'm feeling pretty good right now.

Good for you! Once you get into the habit, it'll be easy. After all, you used to get up alot earlier, if I remember correctly. Something like 4:30?
