Every cloud has a silver lining, they say. I'm a personal believer in optimism. . . if you can't find the silver lining, you're just looking at the cloud from the wrong direction!

Brand Loyalty
I was grocery shopping today and picking out items based on the price (ShopRite's brand was almost always cheaper than everyone else's) and I realized that I no longer have any brand loyalty. I used to buy some items simply because I knew the brand and trusted it. I wouldn't usually buy other brands, especially the store brand of some things, because I was certain the quality wouldn't be as good. It turns out that the store brand is as good as the others most of the time. The only things I'm brand loyal about now are the things that are brand exclusive, like Velveeta Cheese and Hormel Bacon Bits (the others aren't really bacon.) For everything else, I'm all for penny pinching. . .

Most of the time, the store brand is made by that name brand you love. For instance, Publix jelly is made by Polaner.
I am brand loyal to 5 things: Windex, Bounty, Tide, Downy, and Cottonelle or Charmin toilet paper. Everything else is fair game!
I guess that makes me a cleaning product snob!
