Off to a Good Start

Well, my first math class was a big success. We talked about how number systems were developed and made an abacus to perform simple calculations on. Another professor of the same class stopped by and lingered in the doorway for most of my presentation and complimented me on the lecture and the activity. It felt good to be back in a classroom teaching creatively. And, Angie and Miguel survived their first two nights without me! Although it wasn't too much of a hardship because she goes to sleep between 8 and 9, so he doesn't have to entertain her for too long. Here she is watching TV with her daddy. She is getting pretty good at entertaining herself in the mornings, but she still needs a lot of loving in the afternoons and evenings. I love listening to her talk, though and seeing her huge smile! It's just too bad I can't capture that smile on camera!

I'm glad Angie does fine going to bed for Miguel. Sometimes it's hard when the regular routine is disrupted! Glad your happy teaching again! Love you!
